About

Education can move so quickly these days it can be a real challenge to keep up with all the latest developments and do your day job at the same time!

This blog is written, researched and edited by just a normal mortal governor, but in giving you the latest education news, advice from some of the country’s top consultants and stories of how successful governors made things happen we aim to make it just that bit easier for people like you and me to become supergovernors ourselves.

There is plenty of advice for governors out there, and we won’t be trying to replicate that. Rather we’ll be looking to strip out the jargon and give summaries of what’s going on and ideas for further development that you can read in 5 minutes. We wade through 120 pages of the latest white paper so you don’t have to!

As the blog grows we’d love to have comments and feedback from you – what you like, what you don’t, ideas for other things we can cover and all the rest. Ultimately this is a blog for you – we hope you find it interesting, enjoyable and useful!

How about adding the UK Governors site to your Blogroll of links to useful sites for governors? http://www.ukgovernors.org.uk

    Hi Supergovernor

Your blog looks like a really useful resource for governors, and I welcome your aim to give simple and straightforward summaries of the latest information. As a librarian (as well as governor) I like to verify sources, so it would be really useful if you could provide some background detail about yourself and any other authors. I would feel happy to recommend your blog to others if I had an understanding of who was writing it.
    All the best
    Sam

    Hi there,

Great blog! Thanks for the work. We’re syndicating it on the Norfolk Governors Network (www.ngn.org.uk) site now. Hope that’s OK but please let us know if not.

By the way – your feed summary is “Being a supergovernor without with supereffort! “. Looks like a “with” too many there.

    Cheers
    Neil
